The PLML is the primary device of an Intelligent Energy Management System.
Reducing your energy bills and the payback time of renewable energy is now possible. It is also a versatile solution that can adapt to endless applications. Its programming interface allows for easy customization, ensuring it meets your specific energy management needs, reducing the payback time, and overcoming the paradigm of the peak hour charges and other distribution costs commonly billed by utility companies.
PLML System is Different and Specialized in ways that allow for grid synchronization with seamless transitions among several renewable power sources at once. It is now possible to have solar, single, or multiple generators, wind turbines, and even new and unknown energy-producing technologies being invented daily.
We have spent over fifteen years figuring out how to predictively take several AC power sources that can be paralleled towards a single-islanded microgrid. Let Highpoint Energy Control Systems help you understand your options now that our technology is available.
The HECSY ATS, working in conjunction with most generators, can synchronize its AC output not only with the utility grid but also with other sources of power in phase, frequency, and voltage levels, hence equalizing both sources of power to transfer the electric load from each other back and forth, ensuring a smooth and uninterruptedly transition.
The HECSY ATS will provide operational safety to any power system of any size, far beyond what conventional non-synchronized opened transition systems can. With predictive Load Managment Logic in control of your power, it can be possible to disconnect from the grid and know you are safe to run your business and your life.
The PLML can diagnose the most likely faults and perform self-recovery, ensuring the system's continuous operation. It also allows remote access, so tech support can troubleshoot any alarms or warnings before they become a real problem. It is now possible to have faults that could shut down your power system, figure out what is wrong and heal itself, clear faults, and start without expensive technicians needing to visit the location.
PLML can ignore non-critical engine warnings that drive to a shutdown to keep a generator engine, batteries, wind power running if any problem arises; the administrator will receive an alert to schedule the engine's service to clear these non-critical warnings once the engine is in the off mode. The complexity of the computers inside emergency and backup generators requires updates and maintenance schedules, which are all monitored by the PLML Systems, to ensure the most reliable energy system.
Businesses with fire alarm or fire suppression systems can be hardwired to the PLML module to detect an emergency, then ensure the power supply availability for the main fire pump, call the generator to duty, and reserve the solar power and batteries as a secondary source of power accordingly with the NFPA regulations.
Generator Programming: The generator is given a specialized computer that contains the programming routines related to the generator's autonomous operation. The PLML can use these specialized computers to gather information and use its logic to advance even the most modern power systems, bringing custom logic to any brand, model, or electrical generation device.
Astronomical Clock Programming: The PLML has embedded this unique feature, conceived to track the sunrise and sunset hours throughout the year in the function of GPS coordinates, thus accurately establishing night and day variable periods intended to call the genset to duty as required by power system conditions. Even if there are astronomic clocks in the BMS (battery management system) generator or inverter computer, the PLML will automatically synchronize all of them to ensure no issues with configuration occur.
ON-GRID System Optimization is far different from others because of the Zero-Export Model combined with the peak-shaving features, both together keep all the profit to the owner and release them from interconnection agreements, licensing fees, and other bureaucracy-driven rules that cost the end user time and money. Our mission is to bring information and knowledge to the energy industry, empower companies and people to use grid power only when required, and control the demand for its input voltages.
Utility companies commonly bill peak hour charges and other distribution costs, considerably increasing the end user's energy costs. HECSY system can inject power from alternative power sources, such as generators, wind turbines, batteries, and solar systems, according to what is available in the target location by actively synchronizing the alternative source with the utility grid in phase, frequency, and voltage levels. This advanced and automatic feature reduces the power input from the utility company, saving not only the kWh produced by the renewables but also the peak hour and distribution charges, which will be factored into your utility bill.
We have developed a zero-export control system that limits the power injected into the user grid so that no power will flow back into the utility grid, which keeps all the benefits to the end user rather than selling energy to the utility company for non-profitable pricing and conditions. Additionally, the self-consumption concept releases the user from interconnection agreements and licensing fees, giving an additional advantage that makes the difference in feasibility.
A generator can now synchronize its AC output not only with the utility grid but also with other sources of power in phase, frequency, and voltage levels, equalizing both sources of power to transfer the electric load from each other back and forth, ensuring a smooth and uninterruptedly transition.
Fault Self-Healing: The PLML can diagnose the most likely faults and perform self-recovery, ensuring the system's continuous operation. It also allows remote access, so tech support can troubleshoot any warning before it becomes a real problem.
Energy Management System - SCADA: The supervisory system is a graphical, user-friendly interface intended to provide the system's present status to the user, operators, and tech support. It has a web-based version that can be remotely accessed 24/7 worldwide, and a local version based on an HMI touch display and PC client is available. All the functions are available, the status is shown, the operation can be customized here, alarms are cleared, event logs are shown, trends are shown, performance data is shown, etc. We have taken considerable time to ensure our clients have real solutions with obtainable results. We also provide training and other services so that urgent phone calls to tech support can be avoided when possible.
